RCR40 MANUAL: Shifter Installation

Most RCR40s use a ZF transaxle and this chapter describes how to install the that configuration. Start by mounting the bracket to the gear box's side mounting bungs.

Mount gear box rear bracket using original studs and nuts.

Mount actuation lever with heim attachment aiming up and ball stud to the rear. It may be necessary to use 1/4" washers under the ball stud to achieve needed clearance to case.

Route the shafts axial direction cable to loop back under the gearbox and up to the shiftbox.

Mount the shift box as desired for personal taste/fit. Keep in mind throw clearance to dash.
