RCR40 MANUAL: Steering

Start re-assembly by installing the passenger side outer tie rod into the chassis. Don't forget to Loc-Tite® the threads before installing (arrow below left). With passenger side tie rod installed and pulled outboard (as far out of the way as possible) install the rack assembly, tie rod first and then swing the body of the rack in place. Re-install spacers and start mounting bolts. Thread passenger outer tie rod and tighten. A small pipe wrench is an effective way to tighten the outer tie rod.

Install rack spacers and tighten all rack mounting hardware. Install and tighten outer tie rods. Install steering shaft assembly.
